Peak Performance Your Home Deserves
Mark moved to Utah in 2004 to launch his property management firm,
Birch Rentals, LLC and sell homes for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. Under his oversight, Birch Rentals grew from 1 investment to 26- all single family homes along the Wasatch Front. Mark not only oversaw the leasing of these homes but also was instrumental in their selection, as the Realtor representing investors on each transaction. Knowing what homes would fetch in the rental market was a real asset to his clients, and Mark is still one of the only Realtors in the Salt Lake Metro area who definitively understands both the sales and rental market values. Mark's development and management in this capacity give him a unique edge with investors and homeowners alike looking to navigate
a tough market.
Prior to his career in real estate, Mark was recruited on a Division I athletic scholarship to the University of Notre Dame, where he received a varsity letter on the men's tennis team. After a brief stint as a touring pro, he focused his energy on the ultra competitive world of investment banking, accepting a position as analyst with Bank of America Securities, LLC, putting in long hours on structured settlements in excess of $300 million per transaction. Mark left the bank after his analyst rotation to further his career with greater autonomy, and was lured by Utah's impressive cap rates in 2004 to move here.
When Mark isn't selling real estate, he can be found in the Wasatch mountains. His passions include rock and ice climbing but Mark also enjoys the big peaks. Among his accomplishments, Mark led a team up Mt. McKinley in 2008, the highest peak in North America and the coldest of the 7 summits. In addition, Mark also loves to ski and has a passion for animals. He credits his work ethic and persistence- cornerstones of his personality, for where he is today.

I will be recommending Mark to any friend in town that I know is in the real estate market looking to purchase or sell a home. All in all I would rate my experience with Mark and absolute A+
I was absolutely thrilled with the level of service Mark provided during my home search. He was very prompt in returning my emails and, voicemail and texts and seemed to always be available when I needed assistance. He was thorough in setting up the online MLS hot sheets so I was made aware right away when new properties came available in my target areas. Not only is Mark an extremely nice and helpful person, but I would say he is one of the most professional sales associates I have ever dealt with. He was very respectful of my opinions, timeframe for purchase and needs and did not pressure me when I was wavering on making offers etc.

Mark went out of his way to include both my wife and I in all communications, which my wife really appreciated... During our home inspection, the inspector did not address my wife or really even talk to her. It was clear he wanted to talk to the man and not the woman. Afterward my wife commented to me that she did not like our home inspector because he did not address her. Anyway, that night Mark came by and personally apologized to my wife for the behavior of the inspector (however Mark had no idea that my wife had said anything about it)... Mark noticed the attitude of the inspector and without any hints or other signs came by out of his own free will and apologized to my wife... He didn't even know she had been offended by it. My wife and I both thought that this was exceptional. Mark was very attentive to detail and on top of everything. We were really impressed by him.
Mark did an awesome job for us... He was always respectful, courteous, and punctual. We looked forward to all of the house showings because he brought a great attitude and was always enthusiastic.
