Departure Services
Departure services help the relocating employee and family to move quickly and efficiently from the old location and focus on the new job and the new location. To facilitate this process, the client has a choice of services that range from limited assistance in selling a home to a full home buyout. The cost and tax consequences for both the employee and the corporate client are significant considerations in choosing departure services.
Marketing Assistance
Our Marketing Assistance service focuses on working with the employee to achieve a timely sale by competitively pricing, professionally marketing the home and monitoring Realtor performance. Many client programs include financial incentives to the employee for achieving a sale, but there is no guaranteed offer to purchase the home.
Buyer Value Option (BVO)
Under this program, the employee is responsible to market their home, often in conjunction with a Marketing Assistance program as described above. When a buyer is found, the Relocation Center assumes contractual responsibility for the employee's home and disburses the employee's equity. The Relocation Center then completes the transaction with the buyer. The BVO program can offer substantial tax savings to the corporation and transferee.
